Chorleywood Quakers were very pleased to hear of nearby Amersham Quaker Meeting’s plans to participate in the ‘Big Sleep Out’ this year.  It’s an annual national event to raise awareness of homelessness in the UK.

Some of us will be joining them outside Amersham Meeting House for the night on Saturday 2nd March 2024,  knowing that up the road  at Wycombe Wanderers ground the stadium will be filled with many others sleeping outside for the night!

This action is a protest and is aimed to raise awareness of the unacceptable fact that thousands of people are homeless in Britain,  and to raise funds for homeless action groups around the country such as the one we will be supporting, Wycombe Homeless Connection
